Kitchen Project... More work to be done but for now...

Couple of weeks ago we started a project... the kitchen project. We had many ideas for what I wanted my kitchen to look like and so we compile a few here on my initial post. The project started...

Door were taken out of the cabinets...
Primed and ready to get the first coat of paint.
There were A LOT of doors... uff!

And stacks of drawers to paint too! Ahhhh!!!

I did not realized it was going to be that much work just to do a mini upgrade to the kitchen. I say that because all we are doing for now is painting... Oh dear! More than what I thought it was going to be but... once the walls were painted... I start seeing the light! :)

We painted the walls eggnog cake. My kitchen looked brighter than ever have before. See it for yourself.

I leave you here with the before...

and after...

I love the way my kitchen look! More to follow soon...

Week 2 - Proverbs 31 Bible Study

Here we are on week 2 of the Proverbs 31 Bible study.
Good job! You made it through the first week.

If you just tune in to this week, no worries you can check last weeks posts to catch up... visit Proverbs 31 Bible Study were you will find an introductory video, a copy to the book, a schedule of weekly verses and the SOAP method to make your annotations.

This week we are looking at Proverbs 31:10,11.

10  A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
11  Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.

Here is week 2 video from Women Living Well Ministries.

In this video she encourage us to be the virtuous woman God wants us to be. To have confidence in us and partner up with God to help develop the virtuous woman in us. He loves us and wants us to succeed.

This week commit yourself to confess your weakness to God in prayer and make a change in your life. Be strong God is with you.

Project... Kitchen upgrade... if we can call it that!

Many years have gone by and the kitchen is ... well, the same as it was when we moved in seven years ago. So today the decision have been made... to upgrade the kitchen! Not much we can afford at this time but maybe some paint and a few decor items can do the job.

First ideas to what i hope for... my dream kitchen i should say would look like this...

I love the clean look on the white cabinets.

From this picture I love the butcher block countertop and the floor, of course!

I like the two tone cabinets but my kitchen is too small for this type of decor.

The center table as an island would look great as an accent decor on the kitchen. I love the color as well.

The idea of having some glass cabinet doors is great to give the room a sense of space, more room. This is something to think about.

As you can tell great start, great ideas... now the real job begins!

and the best work done by  - my Husband! :)

The doors will come down first, then de-glossed, prime and paint. This will take all weekend at least. Stay tune for more.

I heart Julep Maven!

Today I received my Julep Maven package in the mail and I am soooo in love. :)

Inside the box I found two cards, one were it explains my introductory products and a welcome letter. I am an American Beauty according to the introductory card, which also includes beauty tips. Now to the products... The best pedi cream ever, EVA julep nail vernis, RENEE julep nail vernis and a toe spreader (don't know for sure if that's what is called, correct me if i'm wrong ;D)

Now to the colors...
This first color is my favorite so far... RENEE! Only one application and look at the beautiful purple (Spring lilac) color.

Next is EVA, a glamorous raspberry color. The right balance of sophisticated and whimsy.

If you still haven't tried Julep, the $0.01 COLOR2012 code is still active. To get your first box for $0.01. take the style quiz here and then use code COLOR2012 at checkout.

I hope you love it as much as I do.
